Oedema

The Second Skin team design and manufacture compression garments to assist with effective primary and secondary lymphoedema management. Our garments are designed to reduce and control lymphoedema through close skin contact, accurate fit and excellence in design. Additional reinforcing can be prescribed for specific areas of persistent oedema if required and zip access for ease of application can be prescribed if necessary.

Second Skin compression garments are the garment of choice for the clients with extreme skin fragility, obesity or co-morbidity of lymphoedema and skin conditions such as dermatitis and psoriasis. Individual garment designs are prescribed for those whose health, age, general immobility or reduced grip strength limits their ability to independently apply or remove compression garments. Second Skin garments are tolerated well by clients with skin fragility and those with a history of poor tolerance to alternative lymphoedema garments.
