Brachial Plexus Injuries
Brachial Plexus Splints are prescribed for children and adults who require shoulder girdle and upper limb support following complete or partial brachial plexus injuries. Second Skin Brachial Plexus Splints extend down to above the knee, over the trunk and shoulders, with a long sleeve prescribed for the affected limb. This design keeps the support in place during school, work, home and leisure activities, and ensures our Brachial Plexus Splints are clinically effective.
Brachial Plexus Splints are prescribed to assist with pain management and comfort, to increase endurance and improve activity tolerance, and to assist in protecting shoulder joint integrity as far as possible. These splints are often prescribed with separate hand components to address oedema and pain and to assist in maintaining range of motion and skin integrity. Zip access is provided for ease of application. The pubis area of our Brachial Plexus Splints is open in design and underwear is worn over the top for ease of toileting.
Do not hesitate to contact us to discuss our splints.
